In 2022, the Historical Archive of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca initiated an ambitious project to create a database with all students enrolled at the Cluj higher education institution since 1919.
An essential component of the project’s implementation was the work of student volunteers from the Faculty of History and Philosophy, who participated in a volunteer program dedicated to digital archives.
In the first two years of the project, the database was populated with over 8,000 unique IDs corresponding to the same number of records of the students enrolled at the Faculty of Law of the University of Cluj during the interwar period.
