Occasioned by the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Line of Study in German at Babeș-Bolyai University, the Historical Archive initiated a comprehensive research project dedicated to the history of German-language education in Cluj and the links between Cluj universities and the German academic world. The results of the research have highlighted the long tradition of German as a language of culture in Cluj educational institutions. The strong scientific links between Cluj academics and their peers in German higher education institutions have also been highlighted.
