The purpose of the Historical Archive is to make known and accessible documents that illustrate the past of the University of Cluj, as well as the exceptional careers of the professors who have taught here over time. Thus, in 2023, three members of the Archive team, in collaboration with the National Union Museum in Alba Iulia, prepared an edition of the memoirs written by Professor Alexandru Borza, founder of the Botanical Garden of the University of Cluj. In this first fragment of a more extensive manuscript, the renowned Cluj scientist recounts his childhood, intellectual formation, and the beginnings of his teaching career, up to the Great Union of Alba Iulia in 1918.
